Please read this section in full before using SwimBond.
SwimBond provides educational video content and printable resources to help parents and caregivers introduce young children to water. SwimBond is not a swim school, is not in-person instruction, and is not a substitute for constant, active, arm's-reach adult supervision of any child in or near water; formal in-person swim lessons with a certified instructor; or certified lifeguards, barriers, alarms, life jackets, and other layers of drowning prevention.
No online course can make a child "water safe" or "drown-proof." No such thing exists. Children can drown in seconds, silently, in as little as one inch of water, including bathtubs, buckets, pools, lakes, and the ocean.
Water activities carry an inherent and unavoidable risk of serious injury, disability, or death, including drowning and secondary (delayed) drowning. By using SwimBond, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
By using SwimBond content with a child, you agree that you will:
SwimBond content is for general educational purposes only and is not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding your child's fitness to participate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with using SwimBond content, and you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless SwimBond, its owners, coaches, contributors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, damages, or losses of any kind — including those resulting from ordinary negligence — arising out of or related to your use of the content or any water activity you conduct. You are solely responsible for the safety of any child in your care.
Every child develops differently. SwimBond makes no guarantee that a child will learn any particular skill, reach any milestone, or achieve any level of water competence.
If you do not agree with all of the above, do not use SwimBond content.
